TECH BLONDE ALE
Introducing the Tech Blonde Ale, the beer that plays by its own rules — just like Rasheed Wallace. With a nod to the man who racked up a record-breaking 41 technical fouls in a single NBA season (and 317 total in his career!), this brew is bold, unapologetic, and impossible to ignore.
Our blonde Ale is light and refreshing! It has low hop bitterness, with a biscuity flavor that finishes dry with a little sweetness.
DID YOU KNOW?
THE TEA ON THE TECH…
1. King of Technicals: Rasheed owns the NBA’s single-season technical foul crown with a jaw-dropping 41 techs in 2000–01. Over his career, he racked up 317 technicals, landing him third on the all-time list, just behind Karl Malone and Charles Barkley.
2. Ejection Express: Nobody got tossed like Sheed — he leads the league in career ejections with 29, including the fastest ever: just 1 minute and 25 seconds into a 2012 game after yelling his iconic line, “Ball don’t lie.”
3. The Birth of “Ball Don’t Lie”: Rasheed made the phrase “Ball don’t lie” legendary — shouting it whenever a bad call was followed by a missed free throw. The line became so iconic that he once got ejected just for saying it.
4. Defensive Anchor & Champion: When Rasheed joined the Detroit Pistons, he became the missing piece that turned them into title winners. His high hoops IQ and gritty defense helped Detroit shock the Lakers and claim the 2004 NBA Championship.
5. Pioneer of the Stretch Big: Standing 6'11", Rasheed was ahead of his time — a big man who could step out and drain threes, paving the way for the modern “stretch four” and “stretch five.”
6. The Jail Blazers Era: In Portland, Rasheed was part of the infamous but talented “Jail Blazers.” He played with edge, averaging almost a tech every other game — keeping refs, fans, and opponents on their toes.
7. Changing the Rulebook: Rasheed’s record-setting number of techs forced the NBA to introduce stricter penalties — including suspensions and bigger fines — ensuring no one will likely ever touch his single-season mark.
8. Giving Back & Coaching: Off the court, Rasheed is all heart. Through the Rasheed Wallace Foundation (founded in 1997), he’s supported youth programs and community initiatives. He’s also stayed in the game as a coach at the NBA, college, and high school levels.
